Divine Feminine: Celebrating Women in Design
A tribute to female creativity.

Divine Feminine showcases designs that are as dynamic and diverse as the women who created them. Drawing inspiration from the 19th Amendment and the legacy of generations before us, this assortment displays materials designed or manufactured by women. With vivid patterns and memorable forms, these pieces proclaim the creativity, strength, and heritage of female entrepreneurs and artisans.

Legend and icon Florence Broadhurst is renowned for her striking, paradoxical prints. Her contribution to this selection includes two distinctive textiles. The first, titled Waterjets, is a soft gray fabric interwoven with organic shapes and metallic elements that add a futuristic touch. In contrast, Broadhurst’s second featured textile is a celebration of a more classic style. Intricate, braided lines over a timeless gray-navy background showcase the versatility of geometry. The intertwining lines and contrasting colors add depth and movement, making it a perfect choice for both contemporary and traditional projects.

Carnival, a bold vinyl wallcovering of deep magenta and soft rose, commands attention. Selected from Samantha Gillis’ Collection, Celebrations, this piece is reminiscent of beads in a kaleidoscope or the controlled chaos of a Jackson Pollock. The vibrant colors and dynamic shapes exude energetic vibrations and contagious joy. It is a testament to Gillis’ ability to create powerful products that are as visually striking as they are unique.

Ceramic tiles manufactured by Angela Harris bring a touch of luxury and timeless elegance. Cement-effect hexagon tile stands out with its nuanced texture and geometric shape, making it a versatile choice for modern interiors. It expertly balances the rugged appeal of industrial motifs with the sleekness of contemporary style. Inspired by her travels, Harris presents a warm wall tile with a hand-painted look influenced by Mediterranean and Cuban interiors.

The materials in this selection range from soft leather, durable resin surfaces, stone accents, memorable wallcoverings, and chic drapery. Each item tells a story of the resilience and abiding legacy of women in design. From the originality of Florence Broadhurst to the luxurious tiles of Angela Harris, these materials are a celebration of female artistry and industrialism. They remind us of the importance of supporting and honoring women in the industry, acknowledging their contributions, and inspiring future generations.
